I’ve been learning to catch smallmouth on a ned rig. I got a couple smallmouth but when I took my Z Man TRD off and put it back on the jig head wacky rig style I really started catching fish! I caught 19 smallmouth from the South Platte river!😀😮here’s a couple pictures! I need to find more good smallmouth spots!✌️🐠

I usually go for largemouth but I really liked catching smallmouth. They pull really fast and hard and definitely a lotta fun! You won’t be disappointed!

Wow 19!small mouth is awesome. I was fishing today for small mouth and could not get them to hit a wacky rig. However , India’s get four in a new rig. Had number five on line but was not able to land him.

Well done! I have had limited success with Ned rigs. I think it has to do with where I am fishing. The lakes I fish have mucky bottoms. The ned rig weight buries into the muck and collects debris. The wacky worm with no weight seems to float down and settle on top of the muck. More strikes, less muck. Anyway I like that you adapted to the local situation and was successful.
