Just want to put this out here. Every year,Dee and I volunteer at a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis. It’s actually one of the biggest truck shows in Pennsylvania. Last year there were over 80 trucks there. There are food vendors of all types and live entertainment on the stage every night. There is a small fee to come through the gate but everything is donated to research. Over the few years that we have done this, there has been over 100,000 dollars donated. At 8 o’clock every night, all the trucks turn on their marker lights. It’s a sight to see and hear. There are train rides for the kids and truck pulls on Sunday. There is a corn hole tournament and pedal tractor pulls. There is something going on all weekend. It runs from the 23 to the 25 of September. If anyone is in the area or looking for something to do next weekend, come join us. I know it’s not fishing but it’s something that everyone should see. There is no way that I could list everything here that goes on but all are welcome and as I said,it all goes to research for cystic fibrosis

That’s a great cause Slim, so nice of you to participate and endorse it. While teaching, I had several kids with CF that are no longer with us. My heart bleeds for them. Hope your turnout and donations exceed last years.

Great that you and Dee are trying to make a difference for CF. Sometimes we need to look beyond ourselves and give back. Wished I lived closer. I would be there. I hope you have a great turnout. Give us update on Chit-Chat on money donated if/when you get those $ figures. Just curious to hear how you've done.

I’ll try and let you know how it goes. One of our neighbors across the street has a son with cf so that’s how we got involved. She is around the same age as our boys and grew up as much at our house as hers. Her son comes over to visit when he can but he is doing way better now than they ever thought he would

Great news for the son. Hopefully, your help fund raising will someday lead to a cure or improved medication.
