I’m a 69 years old crappie fisherman enjoying retirement and being able to fish anytime day or night that I feel like it. I wish a full freezer to everyone out there that likes fried crappie as much as I do.

Thanks Billycrap2. It’s been slow here lately but the water is cooling down so I’m sure the bite will be picking up soon.

Welcome Slabdog from another Volunteer. I'm in Strawberry Plains, 20 minutes north of Knoxville. I'm 68 but still working. It cuts into my fishing time but I still get out when I can. Mostly bass for me but would love to find the crappie here. Not sure if you saw it, here's a walleye I caught Monday.

Btw, where in TN is Sale Creek? Just curious.

Thanks for the welcome sir. That’s a nice walleye. We have them here below Watts Bar Dam, but I’ve never caught one. Sale Creek is around 30 minutes north of Chattanooga Lake Chickamauga is my fishing area.

Nice area. I traveled to Chattanooga a few times for newspaper conferences. Stayed at the Read House downtown. I haven't fished Watts Bar yet. A bit of a drive for me but may try it sometime. Enjoy FS. Show us pics of those crappies you nail.
