Try to make short but enough to know who I am. I’m not going into the I was born here etc. I am a proud US Navy Vietnam era Veteran, there was a time when i was addicted to bass fishing, got away from it and started visiting the gulf coast in south Texas and got addicted to the sea. You see in my ID it says Preacher Man, I am a licensed minister, I can marry and bury. I have a 1967 Chevelle that I enjoy playing with it, my wife is not real fond of it, my son (38) loves it. I enjoy working with people, I just retired from the VA as an Addiction Therapist, helped the Veteran who was suffering with the addiction of Alcohol and Drugs. That’s a short story about Preacher Man, time to get ready to head south for some salt water fishing.

First of all, Thank you for your service, i too am a Viet Nam Era veteran, but my tour keep me in Hawaii for three years because of classified info that I worked with. I'm still very proud to have served. Just finished a day trip to Matagorda, but didn't have much luck, only one sheephead. Maybe we'll have better luck next time out. Not knowing where you are located, perhaps we could do a fishing day together. I don't have anyone to fish with, my wife doesn't like to travel for hours just to fish. I'm located in a town named Muldoon, which is just north of La Grange on Hwy 71. Good fishing.

Preacher Man, Welcome to the Stage. My background is similar to yours, am ordained ( non Christian) , Nam era Vet, duty in SC, AZ, Japan & Okinawa, with USMC. Never had a Chevelle, but pretty close, 64 El Camino. Kinda a Chevelle wagon, chopped down, was a nice car, but had too many cars and it had to go.
I think it's great that you had a career with the VA, and I wish more VA staff were Vets. Just makes sense to have folks with Vets a personal perspective doing that work.
You just missed an interesting discussion here by people who do and did a few burnouts in their cars. Presume with your car, you were and/or are much the same.
