The G'Man must be fishing. So, good morning, Stagers.

60*/83*, windy, but o.k.

We looked at that new townhome yesterday. I was impressed. It is 1750 sq. ft., 3bd., 2 ba., 2 car ga. It's built on a cement slab, in a new development on the edge of La Crescent. They all are built with the same exterior and floor plan. Only the colors and trim change. It will have city sewer and water. The one we would buy would be just a slab at this point and time, so, we would be able to make any minor changes or upgrades. We would want to have in-floor heat, with a cushioned subfloor, for example. And that could be done. We would just have to upgrade it. Everything would be new, and very pricey. Now, if I can just convince Marion to move, that is going to be my biggest job.

Take care and take care of others, have a good one.

I feel Marion's apprehension fg. It's more of a change than one is ready to accept moving from no one next to you to they are in your face when you walk outside. No problem if she is a people person and likes the community atmosphere. However, if that living in the woods kinda of life is in her blood, it will take awhile hopefully to adapt.

I am going on 2 years and nearly have accepted my change. But in that 2 years i have heard where others came and went in this little community because they didn't give it time to seek the benefits of close living to one another. Just yesterday 2 doors over moved out after moving in, in Feb. She didn't take kindly to a letter that came out from the HOA complaint about motor cycles.

There are no HOAs there, is that good or bad, I can see both sides. With HOAs you really don't own any of the outsides of your property. Which I don't like, but I would hate to have to drive around a big old motorhome setting out in the street, or a flock of chickens running around someone's yard. All three of our neighbors have free-roaming chickens, but they don't live close enough so that I can hear the roosters crowing. Two of the three have horses, but that's fine out here. That is why they live here.

Advantage to HOA's keeps the neighbor hood looking good and the property value up.

Disadvantage is getting someone in there thinking they are God with some sort of power making it tuff on people with nit picking.

Morning everyone. 52 here this morning and only headed to mid seventies later on. Good luck in talking her into it Fly. Dee and I discussed selling our place and moving but decided we wouldn’t be happy with neighbors any closer than they are here. The older we get the bigger the challenge to undertake a move

Gmon Leo. Good luck with the new home. One good thing about our house is everything we need is on main level. A big plus when we got it. Master bed room bath n a half n laundry room LR DR kitchen. May on day need someone to mow. Moving can be stressful but nessasary at times. In floor heat n padding is a big plus. 👍👍

Morning Leo, Hope you have a much better time living with people close than I did. Several years ago we moved to Huntsville, quiet enough neighborhood, really nice but I just couldn't stand walking out the door and seeing other people right around me. Plus I'm a very lite sleeper and that really bothered me, that's when we moved to the lake at least I got enough room here I don't have to see others when I walk out plus most are just here for the summer the rest of the year is really quiet.

I’m kinda thinking that moving into a townhouse would be like living in a cage after living where your at. We’re on an acre and for me that’s just right. Half is wooded and so it’s low maintenance. Neighbors on all four sides but I can still stretch out. Oh, and I can also pee off the porch 🐟on
