Hey Turp! Don't know if you're fishing out of a boat or from the bank, but you have some pretty sweet options close to you. Under an hour to either Forsyth, above or below the dam, or Table Rock State Park is a good place to sling lures from the bank around riprap by the dam there. Also, you said any fish---run down to Lilley's Landing there in Branson. They can hook you up with either a local guide or necessary equipment to catch loads of trout. Brownies, too. Just north of you is Lake Springfield. On the north end of Springfield is Fellows Lake. Both offer options for fishing less intimidating waters with lots of different species. I hope this helps.
