Day two ended as epic as day one. We didn’t limit at the 6 fish each, but came close. At this point we estimate that we have 40-50lbs of filleted Coho Salmon each…….on just day 2 of 6 fishing ( I think “we’ll need a bigger boat” to bring them home, at least another cooler, we’ll see).

One of our visitors showed again across the river, but this time decided to have lunch. Wasn’t able to get a pic, was a dine n dash!

Stopped on the way back to the cabins at the Klawock Totem Park, kind of cool. Have to repair the provided net, lost 2 nice silvers due to net failure (holes). I’ll do that while on the 1 hour drive to the new fishing hole, different river on the island, fewer people, change of pace, more off the beaten path (according to the local Fish and Game warden we consulted with).

Again thanks to all for the well wishes, I wish all of you could be here, we’d have stories to share and tell!

Looks and sounds like you're having a trip of a lifetime, 40GRIT. I know just how you feel. I've been salmon fishing in Alaska the last 9 Years. A fisherman just can't get enough. Keep those pics coming.

Looks like another awesome day on the water an some good eating what's that dish called. I see two different size Spaghetti noodles and what looks like beef stew in the pot an Italian dressing setting there. Italian dish of some kind 👍

Glad to see all is going well. I miss guiding up there. It sucks to get old, but great memories. At least this site let's some of us old folks share our experience and help the newer folks better enjoy their fishing. One of the great things about fishing is that you never stop learning and you always have the challenge of working around roadblocks.

I am at Hotel in Medford Oregon. Headed to Salmon and Striper fishing in Northern California. I would eat that dinner for Breakfast. Wow it looks good. Fishing does too.
