Sometimes it feels like the fishing gods are against me,I had plans to go out to area 8-2 and 9 here on Puget Sound to go chase those elusive Coho salmon today.Being a weekday the Mukilteo boat launch would be uncrowded as well as out on the water.Truck gassed up,boat gassed up,poles and tackle loaded and ready, and supposed to be a relatively decent day, except for the wind, weather report called for 10-15 mph winds today,I spent three days out in 10 mph winds last week and got the carp beat out of me and my little 16' skiff. Considering my luck and I didn't go out its probably nice and calm out there right now,but if I had gone out I'm pretty sure I would have gotten blown all over the place, fighting to keep the boat on course etc. I'm not wasting the day though, the pass through between my steering console and tool/tackle box is pretty narrow so I figured out how to get another 3-1/2" of space which doesn't sound like much but on a small boat every inch counts so to say.So heres to wishing all out here on the stage a wonderful day fishing or working on improving your fishing experiences. 😀

Sorry about the wind! Doesn’t sound fun. Went out to Bush Point (area 9 I believe) early early this morning. At 6:30 I saw one person down the beach catch 1 coho and 2 more caught while I was there. They were using green buzz bombs with a scented jelly. And some were catching on bright neon pink buzz bombs. Hope this helps! Good luck out there :)

I was using a brads super bait plug with bloody tuna scent on the scent pad behind a purple haze flasher. I was just over the area 9 line south of ship wreck in about 500-600' of water 60-65' down on the down rigger trolling south at about 2.5-3 mph. good luck let me know how you do
