Ken, Welcome to the Stage. Glad ya decided to join with us ..and.. to resume fishing. I've developed mobility and balance problems in the last year or so, but not as severe as yours, but no more wading ( except flat sandy bottoms ) or boating for me , at least for the foreseeable future. Anyway, I need a relatively flat and even surface to fish from. There are a number of places I have found that provide this " platform " for me. One is wheelchair accessible sites on public waters, and there are a few within a reasonable distance from my home. You should contact your state DNR or it's equivalent and see if they have a list for this type of location. I was lucky enough to have a physical therapist who took an interest in my plight, and she asked around with some other clients, and came up with a few nice spots. *Thank you Angela, you are truly Angelic*. I also scout around by automobile and binoculars and use Google Earth. I miss hiking into the old honey holes, so much, but must adjust to my new realities, as you must also. Another source for me is bait shops. I have always used natural live baits to some degree, and those shops are very helpful. In my state, I think they are all supposed to be wheelchair accessible, but many are not. I believe if someone showed up in their parking lot they might be willing to bring your order outside for pickup. Just give 'em a call to see, and if they will do it, they are sure to have lots 'o tips for ya.
Oops, I just realized you may be not able to drive an automobile. Assuming (yeah, I know ) you have a van and it's got a scooter ramp, you have many possibilities.

THANKS FOR INFO. WENT PEIRZ FISH LAKE LIKE I POSTED EARLIER. RESULTS, FISH 1 FISHERMAN 0. BUT WHAT A GOOD TIME. THEY HAD HANDICAPT DOCK AND OPENINGS FROM SHORE..SO THE DNR ARE DOING THEIR WORK AS POSTED IN THEIR WEBSITE. KEN
