I'm pretty sure it was Fly that suggested adding calcium to our tomato plants to prevent bottom rot. It works, not one bad tomato this year. Thanks Fly.

calcium or bone meal, they both are very effective.

Good to know. I now have a bag of calcium nitrate to last the rest of my life.

You can also use Rock Phosphate. All the above, put about one cup, two inches below the roots when you transplant.
