At the end of September, I'll be drift boat fishing the Cumberland River in Kentucky below the dam at Lake Cumberland. I'll be fly fishing and using a spinning rod and reel. Does anyone have a recommendation on lures for the spinner? Thanks!

We catch a lot of trout on smaller Memps spinners small repalas in trout color Stripers and large trout we use 5 to 6” repala type and soft plastic s I’m Bates in white or dark grey Hope you have a great trip.
Fishing on the Cumberland River last weekend with Rainbow guides. We caught trout by tying up to the bank and tossing salmon eggs or corn into the eddies. When trolling, blue and silver divers outperformed orange/yellow lures. This late in the year, falling leaves get caught on the hooks and pull the lures to the surface. The Channel is about 8 feet deep, so use lures that dive only 3-5 feet.
You can probably still get some nice stripped bass out of the river. For stripers, you might want to use planer boards with gizzard shad. Again, with leaves in the water, make sure the hooks are
