Thank you for your help. I am just looking for places where I could fish from shore and catch something (anything). I am not able to walk very far, so not able to hike and explore as I did when I was younger. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.

There is a couple of handicapped docks to fish for salmon and steelhead on the cost. I like to fish at Detroit Dam for trout and kokanee. You can fish right off the dam. Get some power bait or use night crawlers. Both work well. Most places that stock trout have bank access but some of them might be hard to get to if you can't walk very well.

And add a note on the fishing at Detroit lake dam. One of the most reliable dates I've ever used there is a tiny little cocktail, salad shrimp. I spoke to a ODFW fish biologist who works Detroit area and he stated that there is a natural freshwater shrimp population in the lake that makes this one of the number one baits to use.

Just another note for fishing off the Detroit dam the trout there are mostly all, what they call trophy trout 12" to 18" some even bigger. Bring a bucket or cooler to put your fish in. If you hook a big fish that you can't reel up from the water there is usually someone there who can help you net it with a drop net. Detroit is the best place around for trout and one of the easiest to access for us older less able guys.

They just dumped a whole bunch of trophy trout into Harriet lake.
