Gimlet1972 Loc: Sheboygan Falls Wisconsin

I purchased my home in town about two years! Lately myself and neighbors have become more close so started to fish the river on a more regular basis!! Past few nights I’ve been catching a few smaller flathead catfish on smaller Sucker minnows just using split shot sinkers and hook laying on bottom no bobber! Missed a huge fish on Sunday morning about 4 AM a lot of snags in town trees branches and such! Does anyone have any advice on a great catfish rig to use in this area! Dirtier water some current ad I’m south of the dam! Some 5-7 foot holes depth wise! Tried using bobbers but suckers even with weight seamed to want to always swim for cover! Is there any specific bottom bait that works best! I’m more of a Milwaukee river brown trr deer out fisherman so this slower paced fishing new to me but exciting! Oh the crappie I caught on Saturday was 1.33 pounds and close to 14 inches what a whopper! I was throwing a Rebel brand smaller shallow diver crawfish crank bait! Usually catch northerns and trout on that was shocked when a crappie hit it! A trophy probably in a lot of guys eyes
