My son and his buddy went fishing in his buddy's 28ft boat 🚢 on Friday.
They were out by Catalina Island 🏝 and were fishing the kelp Patties.
They caught 10 in the 15 to 25lbs class.
They are a blast to catch and dam good eating and great to BBQ.
When I go down this week I'll be eating good. !!!
The Dorado is a great fighter.
The young ones are called caves and the female's are called cows and the males are called bulls.
They are a beautiful fish.

Dang Andy. I've been SO busy I didn't even think about Dove season open.
I bet that's the first year EVER that the Dove opener slipped my mind.

How far is the Sacramento duck Refuge from you I belive you can Dove hunt on it or Delavan Refuge? Or call fish and game and ask what Refuge around you allows Dove hunting on the opening week.
I'll be getting the the boat out after this week and fishing with Tom.

Not any More everything is posted.!!
Last year went to Los Banos Refuge for the afternoon shoot.
This year boys and I are going to Niland down south hunted down their for years and we also hunted Yuma Arizona.
Going to do alittle Bass fishing with the my son and watch the grandsons play football.
But Los Banos will be open on the 1st.
Take Hwy 5 south to Hwy 65 North and it will take you to the Refuge it is free. And they have fields on the Refuge to hunt.

Thursday for dove here also. Got the decoys out in the trees and on the fence. Mostly Eurasian dove here now.

That's cool you know there is no limit on them !!!
There are a lot here also but it's hard to get permission to hunt them here where there is a lot of them. And guys that have permission don't share it.
I don't blame them.
