Young Indian boy asked his father how he got his name. His father said,” it is tribal custom that when a child is born, the first thing the father sees, he names his child. When your older brother was born, I came from tepee and first thing I saw was a red hawk. I called him Red Hawk. Your sister was born and first thing I saw was a mourning dove. She was called Mourning Dove. Your other brother I named Running Elk because that was first thing I saw. Why do you ask Pooping Dog?”

I heard it a little different but I don’t think you can put that on the stage

Yeah. I wanted to be able to tell the joke for any and all ages. I believe there are some ladies on here, so it was tweaked a good bit.
