We launched at the Franklin street ramp about 0700 and headed down river to Tred Avon for White Perch. We hit 3 different spots and bugged out early, the wind was picking up and crossing back in The Rubber Duck was a bit tricky. Once we got back across, after it beat our kidneys out, the wind died down. I even caught a Spot on a Beetle Spin bringing my total number of species caught on one to 12. 14 White perch boated, 3 smalls were kept because they were hooked too deeply to let go and have a chance, they'll be eaten, fish tacos or Greek Perch Pitas, haven't decided yet.

How big was the Spot?
Rockfish bait sized, maybe 5".
Have you seen any big ones this year?

I saw one big one caught this year. I don't target them because we don't eat them. That was only the 3rd one we caught this year. There used to be a big run in Delaware with the big yellow bellied Spot, maybe someone can chime into when it is.
You should try eating them They are delicious.
