Right now I'm fishing off shire onto the dam pool. I have a biat but have not used it there.
Conowingo dam is the place to go right now. To catch a variety of fish smallies, largemouth, strippers, walleye, all species of catfish including monster blues, and even an occasional musky. You can catch all types of panfish also. Now we have a large population of snakeheads growing in this area. Not limited to the dam you can drive along the Susquehanna, there is a road runs along it to almost to Harve De Grace. There are a number of spots to pull over and fish including Deer creek which is another great place besides the dam.

I haven’t been fishing myself in years due to various reasons, but my son and brother have fished at Mariner Park in Joppatown with some success. There is a park with piers and a boat ramp at the end of Willowby(sp) Beach Rd. in Edgewood. Make a Rt. on Kennard Ave to the park at the Amtrak bridge on the Bush River. I have seen people fishing at various parks along the Susquehanna in Havre de Grace. In the Spring, there’s plenty of action at Greys Run on Rt. 40 between Edgewood and Aberdeen. On Otter Point Rd.in Abingdon, there’s the Anita Leight Estuary Center in Abingdon. There’s plenty of places to wet your lines. Wishing you good luck.
