Picked up a bushel at Bashas Grocery in Payson this morning. Roasting and bagging today. My back yard smells sooo good.πŸ˜„

I see they are grown in the Hatch Valley over there. No wonder I've never heard of them.

Once you've tried Chile Verde with home roasted chiles you are hooked. You'll never go back to canned.

Whole foods here has some fresh ones. Going to get a few.

Good on you Jim ,yes they are excellent ! Wife has it down pretty much , love it when she makes her Chile Verde, or green enchiladas ,yummy, if you get a chance send a picπŸ‘

This is an easy recipe to try, Google All Recipes,,Hatch Chile Enchilada Pie,they also have a Chile Verde recipe

Roasting has been going on here in New Mexico for about a month. Smell sure is good. Almost all grocery stores offer free roasting when you buy from them.

Those big jims you are growing are basically the same as the ones grown in Hatch NM. Yours are just as good. The pictures on your other posts made me hungry.
