Anybody have any suggestions for the Umpqua river for Chinook?
Good morning
Is anyone doing any good on Salmon on the Lower Umpqua Reedsport to Winchester bay?
Good morning,
So far not many reports of fish.
We went out and got skunked. Judging by the number of boats fishing, it’s slim pickings right now. I was told by The stockade tackle owner that some nice stripers have been caught at the mouth of the Smith last week.
Crabbing is pretty good on the North side of Salmon harbor

Launch out of Salmon Harbor and go Mooching north on the right side of the Umpqua, we were never disappointed other than catching a native or Coho not in season, wait a week or two and they might! Drop some crab pots before you fish ,on the west side of the river exiting the harbor,👍🤙🤙
Thanks,
Thats exactly what we did. Had some motor problems but trolling motor worked fine. It got windy and a little rough so we went back and pulled our crab spent 5 hours fishing.
We’ll hit it again soon.
