Shingles update

Well guys I finally,,,finally found a Dr. that can help with my shingles pain. Tuesday I received two injections into my spine, ouch, that has really shut the shingles pain down. I can only hope this is not a temporary thing, there still is some pain and a bruised feeling but I'won't have to take any medication, right now, and I'm feeling more like myself than I have since March. The Doc said I may need another shot or two but he really believes he can get this taken care of. Now for weening off the Gabapenton and try and get back to real life and fishing.

Yep it does Gordon. Mine was on my lower back at the beltline. Definitely not fun🤬

Hey brother. Sounds like some of our prayers have been answered. So glad and thankful you have found some relief with this new Doc. Will continue to keep you in prayer that your relief continues and eventually goes away completely.

KD, he shot me with some sort of steroid he said he thought an epidural would work on Monday, I ask can you do it today. He was booked Monday so they double booked me for Tuesday. I'll ask when I go back for first checkup. He did say it may take another shot to take care of all the pain but I'll gladly do another to keep this pain gone. They put me under to do the procedure and that's a first, all the other Epidurals I've had it was just grin and bear it.

Good to hear, Ivey. You must have found a dr. that knows something, they are hard to come by around here. Marion had them on her back and side, and they lasted for about 6 months. Not a fun time for her. I'm glad you are experiencing some relief, finally.

Good news Ivey. I saw my new doc yesterday and he is after me to get the Shingles vaccine among other things. You may be close to 100% just in time for fall fishing.

I was telling Suzanne last week that the Crappie should be gathering under the docks, I'll have to go out and find out very soon.
