I moved to Piedmont South Carolina from Georgia 4 months ago. I'm an avid fisherwoman. Retired Band Director and Retired Mayor. Eager to catch some fresh water fish. I like to cook what I catch. Checking out Lake Greenwood either for scheduling a guide or bank fishing. Accepting recommendations.

Good morning, Willimsbbw, and welcome to the Forum. I would first "Google Earth" and look around for good-looking water. Then I would find a local bait shop and talk to them. I would also drive around and personally look at the water, and maybe fish a few places. Do they have a local fishing forum? Hiring a guide would certainly reduce the learning curve and if he is any good, get you started off on the right foot, maybe for a 1/2 day. Good luck and we love pictures.

Williamsbbw, welcome to the Forum I was born and raised in Greenwood South Carolina my job took me all over the United States I am retired and I love to fish 🎣 My friend and neighbor Anna we try to make it a point to go fishing at least once a week 🎣so reach out an let me know if you’d like to come to Greenwood South Carolina and do some fishing at your convenience 🎣 Anna and I pulled up in the crossroads to check out the fishing few people set around said all they been catching is brim and believed that was all that was in the pond is brim Anna said let’s try the new deck devils that I’d got us to fish anywhere anytime in any condition we cast and i caught a 3 1/2 pound bass!! people there was shocked and Anna and I was too 30 minutes later we left and went to the lake where we were going fishing that day in Edgefield South Carolina Ms.Williamsbbw love you to come down and go fishing 🎣 with us.
