Kpowell here want to know where the bass on Old Hickory Lake. I know 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water. Where is the water and what technique’s, bait etc?
Find the grass. Spinner bait / swimming worm. Points- shakey head / c rig
Arjeje
Loc: Cherokee Lake, Morristown, Tennessee
Use a 6” plastic worm, black w/chartreuse tail, 1/8th ounce bullet sinker, rig it Texas style with 4 ought hook. Work that in the grass, over rocks and points, through cover. In areas with overhanging trees/shadow, work it starting shallow in the shade to deeper in the sun. Structures like docks are great.
Right now bass are chasing very small shad pushing them in the weeds or any place they can trap them very difficult to catch as it difficult to match hatch & that seems to be all they want a few days ago I was scoping in 16-20 ft finding schools of shad catching them on 5xd or 6xd water temperature 76-80
Can you use a weedless hook when casting into weedy water?
Diffinetly i would try Tex pose fluke if you hook the stalk of one those weeds you either go get it or brake off
