I know everybody s got their favs. Mine has always been the cheap to middle shimano, mostly cheap, they always work.
theres a cabelas salt striker in there too , I got it for the bait alert. good reel but heavy

I love shimano reels with the trigger to open the bail. I've got 3 and want to buy a 4th and put it on a 9ft lamiglas pole.

I just looked it up 819.00 US , Id say thats for somebody whos got more money than sense.
Or somebody who thinks they will catch more fish with it. I paid 99. for a penn Battle something 2500 a month ago, great reel, but I cant believe I spent that much on a reel. I figure it will last me the rest of my life though.
