Took Granddaughter fishing

I loaded rods and reels, tackle bag, cast net and bucket and picked my Granddaughter up from school this afternoon and took her to our go to fishing hole. She caught 2 flounder and a 34” Redfish. We had a great time 😎👍

We were fishing an area by a place called Flato’s. The water tower is the new Port Aransas tower. Thanks Fly. I don’t know what the Pike is. 😎👍

Thanks Papa and all of the others who responded. My Granddaughter has been gone all summer staying with her mom in Houston. She got back home last week to start school and since I wasn’t working I thought it would be a great time to take he fishing. I picked her up after school let out and asked her if she wanted to go fishing with me and her eyes lit up. I had already loaded the rod and tackle so all we had to do was go by her condo and let her change clothes and shoes and off we went. She was kneeling in the water when that Redfish hit and she thought she was going into deeper water. I laughed so hard because she had forgotten how hard a Redfish will hit a bait. She’s 14 now and active in sports and other school activities so I hope to keep her fishing around all her other activities. Thanks again 😎👍
