My newbie post. Just retired and looking to pick up fishing . Where would you go in Boston South Shore/ Plymouth county if you did not have a boat?

Tried the canal but wiped out on the rocks a couple of times. Decided I need to fish from a safer place. Then tried Wareham by Tobey hospital. Not a bite.

Try Duxbury beach or Scortons creek you can stand on sand.

Planning on Powder Point Beach next week if they still allow you to fish of the bridge.

Where is Scortons creek.

Scorton Creek's a good bet Buzzards Bay has a lot of beach check with The Red Top fish and tackle in Wareham they're always willing to help. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Checked out Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury around 5pm. Caught a 14 inch Black Sea Bass on my first cast. But then nothing but a few nibbles after. Using cut mackerel

Nice catch! Try aYo-Zuri shallow diver with a small piece of squid on the tail hook.(crystal minnow or rainbow)
