Have a kayak trip coming up with some buddies. Planned on fishing Crescent Lake and Odell Lake for trout. Does anyone know specific spots on these lakes where we would have good luck in finding fish? What lures, colors and the best times are people having the best luck with? I have never fished for trout so any tips will be appreciated.
Crescent is at only 15% water Level. Odell has been very slow for us this year. My favorite trout lake is Diamond lake. It isn't very deep so won't go back there until September. Caught a 4# trout there in June.
Fished in ell lake for trout. Only got one but other people were doing good. Wind up in afternoon so good luck. We were in a canoe. We have a fish finder and most are at the bottom 50 ft plus. We had down rigger but too much wind. Go early. Good luck
