Well guys got me a green led under water light fron amazon, 20 bucks. Attracts minnows like crazy.
Looking for crappie. No luck catching. Use my livescope fishing from boat and "see" fish but no luck.
Went out 3 times to different places, in old trees in 20 ft. water, under bridge no pilings, and under hwy bridge with pilings.
No luck. Used minnows and jigs. Not giving up because I have caught fish in this lake before, never got limits though. Maybe fish I see are not crappie.
Very hot days, 100+
Will try other east Texas lakes where I have more success and report back.
But as you know fish are fickle (hope I spelled that right).
Need some suggestions
I enjoy this website
Wish I could contribute helpful tips also.
Thanks from Stilltrying

Hey Still can you post a pic of this light you mention? Is it for night use only or is it suspended for deeper waters during the day?

That 100+ could be one of the reasons fish aren't biting.

Strictly jigs and or minnows
Submergible ?spelling 1080 lumens
From Amazon - lightingsky 10.8 watts
$17.99 I use at night, light doesn’t care if dark or not😁
Maybe minnows were too large, most were 2 1/2 to 3 inches
Used map on fish finder and Will try
Points with timber next time and smaller minnows. Tried to net some that night and they were too fast using my net.
Lot to learn!
Thanks for interest

Will
