Any guidance on spots of fish on the lake im here with kids on vacation have a boat just looking to catch a couple fish also what bait and species to target

Lake is known for some of the best northern pike fishing in the country. World record stuff. Go to the western weed beds, use live minnows or large stick baits, swimmers. Try to use the shaded weed beds. Make sure you use some sturdy tackle. Stop in at one of the tackle shops and ask for some advice. They are always willing to help..
