Went to tenmile lake today with father in law and my son. Had a couple trout this morning on various baits/lures and I obviously caught the smallest fish, a baby perch. We have heard such great things about the fishing there but nobody we saw was really catching anything. Regardless it was a blast to get out on the boat and try some trolling. I've never done it but i enjoyed it. Anyone had much luck there or at one of the lakes around there? Thanks!

Haven't been over there, but most of my friends who do fish Tenmile regard it, and brag about it, as a bass fishery, rather than trout.... maybe you were trying for the wrong target !?!
I have a coast trip planned for September, I'll have to check it out.

We were trying a lot of different stuff. Crank baits. Spinners. Live bait. Lots of fun but we heard the same about it being a bass lake but didn't see any.

My Moms house is up on Kings ave, when my Step-dad and I would go we caught some Bass, Yellow Perch and Trout , oddly we caught more Yellow Perch around the launch and Marina, It is a huge Lake, that has hundreds of hidden coves we'd go exploring many days in the Boat, I seem to have had better luck with plastic worms ,finesse worms and drop shotting, at 1 time years ago Ten Mile Lake was Oregons most concentrated Coho Salmon Lake,

Forgot to mention M , Step -dad Kermit, liked Eel Lake for Trout ,hardly anybody there during the week, about 1 1/2 miles North of Lakeside🤙

We have a house on the Shutter arm
Our place is the big green boat garage. Right in front of the wave break we’ve caught cut throat trout, huge catfish and around the dock lots of perch.
We fish a lot with night crawlers and even chicken gizzards and are shocked at what we get. We’ve caught nice large mouth bass as well on a Senko hooked wacky

I haven’t been there for years Mbug. I only fished for bass then, but never caught a bunch, or any big ones and I was only walking the banks. Your boy looked like he had a good time, and that is what it’s about. Keep after em’
