The boys and a buddy went out today in search of lakers. Gregg took his boat while Ben and Nick took Ben’s, reason being Gregg had to leave earlier. They found some pods of fish in 140 feet that suspended around 100 to 110 ‘. Both Ben and Nick caught a laker, Nick’s looked like a small native brookie which is a great sign. The lake hasn’t been stocked in 12 years so they’re obviously reproducing. Gregg kept a 24”walleye for the table and lost 2 lakers boatside. Gorgeous day on the water for the kids and I had fun with Boone.

Thank you Marion, we all had a great time.
Thank you Huntm, they’re obviously not Great Lakes type lakers but for a 40 mile drive from home to catch the unusual it’s a pretty cool place.

Thanks Danger, you may have posted the results on your second motor consult and I may have missed them. Just wondering how you made out.

Thanks Gordon, he’s a little gem. Hoping he’ll become a good bird dog.

Thanks Matt, that photo was one of his calmer moments and was taken after a long session of throwing ball. It tuckered us both out.
