So far pleased with progress using scraps from my jobs. Have yet to put power to it,need to extend wires to reach my battery location but I'm really looking forward to testing it out. Here's what I got so far

Looks good SA. Make sure you seal up your wedge before it gets wet.

Your mount is looking good.. when is your test drive?? When I mounted mine, I centered so it dropped straight down in front of the bow.. heading back to baker tomorrow for probably my final trip this season.. hopefully the fishing god's will favor me...lol

Looks good. Duel batteries are definitely a good thing. Best wiring configuration is to connect the main red to red on one battery and the black to the other battery then have jumpers for the red and black to make them become parallel. This simple thing will make the battery BANK instead of two parallel batteries connected last about 10 times as long between replacement intervals. I built portable electrical systems and learned this wiring configuration from a Police Electrician that built large battery banks for Command Posts ( big motorhome etc equipment ).

Thanks for the heads up and I will do that next season when I replace both deep cycles with same type of battery.. currently one is an older gel that only holds 3/4 of a charge and the other is 3 year old wet that is seeing it's final season..

Hey Jeep,Thanks, yours looks pretty good as well,I thought of mounting mine that way but for ease and speed of install choose to offset a little and angle it,plus allows the head to sit by rail while stowed.Did you have any luck at Baker,I still haven't gotten out there yet myself.
