Well folks I have returned from a great vacation. I will try to keep it short. Went to the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland Maine. Great few days as we had volunteered to help in the food tent serving Lobsters. Great people and a very good time eating LOBSTA’s!!! Clams, mussels, blueberry cobbler, strawberry shortcake. Yup I still don’t need to eat !
We then went to Boston where we explored the Freedom Trail and some of the country’s great history and learned more of our brave forefathers!
Wife wanted to see Salem and partake of that historic area. Salem was a neat place. We then went on along the coast and saw many historic sites and towns. Great day eating lobster and ice cream!!
I then was privileged to go fishing with GMCHIEF and my wife spent the day with Glens wife. I got to catch some pollock and bunker. Was very fortunate to see a Mola Mola right next to Glens boat - maybe two feet away! Awesome awesome experience!! I can’t thank Glen enough for his hospitality and sharing his fishing expertise with me. Had a fantastic day!
We went back to Boston for our final day before flying home. We spent the day exploring the dock area and saw a bunch more historic sights (Old Town Church etc) and the Aquarium with its new baby whale.
Then reality set in and on to the airport. Was privileged to experience a major downpour for about an hour. Well with only 30 minutes for our connection in Detroit - you guessed it. Got to spend the night in Detroit. Made it home a day late but all is good Sure glad we are retired!! Buddy and his wife picked us up from the airport and we headed to his favorite German Restaurant to celebrate both his birthday (two day before) and my birthday on Tuesday.
Great vacation - good food, good fishing, great site seeing, embellishing American History!! God Bless the USA!
Thanks to all the FS group and a kudos to the veterans.
Good for you! Sounds great

Sounds like a great time, Hunt. Love to get me some Lobsta. An east coast trip is on my bucket list if we ever get these fuel prices back to a reasonable price. So it might be a while…

DD, Let me know when you get back East. We’ll see if we can get some fish and tie up at one of the restaurants for lobsta and ice cream😋. I’ll trade you a trip out of Portsmouth for a trip to Merwin🎣
