My son, grandson and I went fishing in my farmer’s honey hole. My son caught 1 bullhead, grandson caught 3 and I caught 3. None were weighed and not all were photographed. We had fun making memories and that’s what counts.

I took 6 rod n reels with me and used 5 of them. One of those belonged to my dad. If you recall, my dad was always lucky, all 3 of mine were caught on his rod n reel using a hoola popper.

Gotta love those farm ponds! All the more special that you experienced it with family--4 generations! (including your dad who was there in spirit through his rod & reel). Thank you for sharing your special memories with us!

Rut, from the looks of the pond it appears you boys out there could also use some rain. Our creeks, lakes and ponds are down 3 feet.

BK that pond is down 4 feet and definitely needs some rain. After we got done fishing we drove over to look at the creek and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it that low. Hopefully when the weather cools off we’ll get some rain.

I really enjoyed your bullhead photo. We used to catch a ton of those when we were kids (and little else) but it's probably been 30 years since I've seen one!
