Went to the pond today in my pontoon boat. Caught and released well over a dozen LM, mostly on drop-shot. Quite a few shakers and some not too bad. I only had one of my favorite bait on me. They are not too durable, but I kept trimming it down until there was only about 2” left of the tail but it kept catching fish! Tried a square bill crankbait for some reaction bites and caught a couple too.

Nice goin, Bric..Weather looks great, and you did a super job catching. Well Done ! I never have done well in the "bluebird' weather, as a rule. Much prefer an overcast day, it suits my basic fishing style and presentations, but I CAN go deep or fish the shadows in a pinch.

Thanks nutz. Fish when I can. Got a lot of hits in shallow 1-3 ft. Then keep working it slow in deeper water.

Thanks Fred! Spring fed pond, hence the name Spring Meadow. Not quite as clear as up in JB country. I’ve seen some big ones cruising around, they just look at my bait and move on,lol.
