I picked this up at auction a couple of weeks ago but didn't know a thing about it. The whole thing is 36in long and the rod portion is a steel tube that the line comes off the reel through the tube. Only thing I've been able to find is that it mite be a Detroit river rod.I have cleaned it and no markings anywhere on it. Thanks for any help.

Well, I love old sporting stuff. Usually look and walk away. Then again, my bench looks like your picture. Neat outfit, mine ain't treasures. Hoping to wear 'em out. Nice find. Drop it deep, wander around in your canoe.

I've been told it could be a Detroit river rig rod. You could put a 2 1/2lb weight on it like for hand lineing and have at it,lol
