Good one's Pat. Excuse me for a minute, I have to go outside and break something on my truck, so I can bring it to the shop.

I did that yesterday Fred. Brakes locked up and they sure aren't working at my go to shop.

Stuck caliper, bearing is toast and just can't replace one naturally.

Odd thing is i was missing a hub cap about two weeks ago and figured it was taken from some parking lot. There is no way the hub cap can come off because it adheres to the 5 lug nuts. Force is needed so i thought.

I felt the hubs before going in and sure enough right side was cooking plus on a decline i was going no where even in gear. Told the guy if he can find a hub cap from a junk yard i would appreciate it. I struck out with two local ones.

Well they took it for a road test Wednesday evening to ensure i knew what i was talking about. They told me that most likely my cap wasn't taken, the temp of the wheel was 500* when they got back and at that temp probably loosen up the plastic retainers and pop went the cap.

No fishing until next week.

Ouch! You're lucky you didn't blow the tire as well. With a 500°wheel, the tire pressure was probably up to 60 or more psi.
I've gotta get mine in to check the rear end out. Got a lot of play in it, and I think I hear a little rumbling from the passenger side axle bearing.

I keep 42 lbs in it, so might have been even higher. Now i wonder how hot it got going to and from Marburg and one trip to Solleys in there too. This week i was only local somewhere around 10 miles or so is when it locked up, but not to the point of in mobile. Guess i should count my blessings there.

For the last 3 months i had noticed a ruff road feeling when i first start out. Thought it was just a flat spot in the tires because as it warmed up it would go away.

While its in i said replace the rear pads 250,000 on them probably due too.

Do you have tire pressure monitors? One of my back calipers stuck once, and the pressure went from 36psi to 48psi. 50psi is the max on mine. I dunked it in the lake while launching the boat, to cool it off. It has never happened again.

Yes, but only on the low side. Don't know if they have a high limit. I believe mine are 60lb. I put highway tires on while in NC since the majority of my driving was 55 plus down there. I will look when i get the truck back. Curious now.

You should be able to access the pressure of each tire in the onboard computer. I've been checking mine since the incident happened, whenever I make a long highway run.
