Went down the meadows where I've taken some cool pics of stuff, flora and fauna.Driving in early morning I see this Great Blue Heron stab a young carp, light was low so not the best clarity.

Wild flowers.

Black berries galore.

I drove up to where the berries are and this fella popped his head up looked for a second or two and went back to munching clover.

Fog hoovers above the ground before sunrise.

Getting dry enough they started irrigation. It has been a turf farm for 13 years now,i mowed it every three days during the season for two years, some of the most incredible wildlife pictures too.It has a history going back to 1635,crops were grown for centuries,it is also a real hot metal detecting site, also PRIVATE PROPERTY and I have a key to get in,found coins,2 gold rings, one was a lions head with ruby eyes and a diamond in his mouth, relics, every bullet ever manufactured, relics, even a set of brass knuckles. Amazing what people loose! I don't know about the knuckles,Agawam was a mafia town big time!

GOD have mercy on America

Beautiful pictures Chris. I've caught 3lb Smallmouth with single puncture wounds in their sides. I wonder if they're from Herons? The Blackberries make me think of one thing, Cobbler.
Thanks for sharing your world buddy.
