Mama's down with the Rona, just wantin to rest,
So I'll just leave her be, yeah that's the best.
Headed down to the boat, in hunerd degree heat,
Thought catchin some basses would surely be sweet.
I did catch a dozen on worm, crank n top,
But just like before, they'd hit then they'd stop.
All wrapped up and done, got all the way home,
Then turned around, went back to get my danged phone. 😡
Comin off'n the dock saw a guy that I know,
Took a left off the ramp, hit a cable, then noooo.
Landed flat on the gravel, got rocks in my knee,
The most biggest damage - how I feel about me.
So the message that's tucked in today's silly pome,
Is be careful, be thoughtful, before you head home.
The fishin was fun, waves, sweat and all.
The joy was diminished with a dang clumsy fall.

Good pome and nice fish. Sorry bout the fall though. We gotta be alot more careful nowadays the older we get. Don't heal up nearly as fast as we use to AND injuries can be ALOT worse than they use to be.

Bummer you hit the gravel. Be careful ...I agree. Those bangs on the body cause more problems later. Thaks for the update. Avoid MAMA. The latest strains are more contagious than the previous strains. Paxlovid is an oral medication that will reduce the other conventional ( Advil and Tylenol ) fever and pain control. It is a wicked disease. It will always seek the weak. Everytime the topic comes up locally lately people are saying they contracted it 3 or 4 times already (latest strains ) . Less lethal but way more contagious.

Good one TRB, all except the fall in the gravel. Be careful out there, we're getting too old for that stuff. I hope Mama feels better, and thanks for sharing.

Nice pictures isn't pome actually spelt poem I seem someone else spell it on the Stage pome are there 2 ways to spell it?

He's purposely spelling it that way Henry, tongue in cheek, because they don't always rhyme either.

I enjoy your poems, they are so descriptive. Keep it up,(it's your pome, spell it any way you want). Sorry for your fall, they seem faster and the ground harder than it used to be. Hope the damage heals quick.
