My son and grandson came up on Friday and we took the boat out on Saturday. Was on the water very early to beat the crazy 🤪 boaters and wave runners.
Well the bass were not wanting to play and I was teaching him how to worm only his second time worming. The bite was different in that they would pick up and you had to set the hook quick and he had some good hits just not quick enought and when I'd get a hit I'd try to set the hook and hand the rod over to him past my son and the Bass would get off.
Thank God for the baby night crawlers!! Set him up with a number 6 hook and a split shot and 1st Cas he has a nice Crappie then a r
Rock bass and 7 nice Bluegill!! We released all the fish but the day was saved and no Skunk !!
He was happy and I was happy it was all for him.
This is my second oldest grandson from from my 3rd oldest son.
Then he wanted to drive the boat and drive the boat he did !!!
It was a great morning off the lake by 11:00 and before it got to hot 🔥.
We were Tullock lake.
Love my Grandchild.
He's going in the 7th grade he is a 4.0 student.
Gets that from his grandma Ha ha !!

That's awesome Andy. Sometimes you gotta fall back on the old standbys. We all know how frustrating a slow, light bite can be. Better to let the young ones catch panfish, instead of turning them off to fishing. There's plenty of time for them to get mad, when they get older.LOL. At least that lake has water in it. Some of them out there would require a 1/4 mile jump to hit the water.
