I didn’t scare or hurt myself but I realized I had trouble getting in and out of my boat at the landing. Recruited a retired Navy Sr. chief I had been talking to occasionally and taught him a little of what I knew and where to go for catching fish. We take turns driving and cost sharing. Been doing that for four years and I hope for a few more years.

I'm afraid that time is coming for all of us. Not a good thing.

Good move to not fish alone, safety is nothing to take lightly.

Always better to have someone to talk to while you’re on the water and to bounce ideas off of. Then there is always the safety part.

I noticed the same thing, but continue to fish alone unless the wife gets up from her beauty rest and comes with me. In either case I took care of the problem with a custom made ladder. We have a guy at work that fabricates on the side. This is the result and it is fantastic. Material cost in todays market is $300.

We will all face that some day. I took my 82 year old brother fishing this Spring. It was a chore I was always having to do something for him. Don’t miss understand me I loved every minute of it. Maybdo have very many more opportunities to fish with him.
