Potential boat for James Bond....
My wife and I spent the afternoon enjoying the beach and regional amenities in a pleasant small Northern Michigan town called Elk Rapids, MI...about a 20 minute drive North of where we live. Nice sunny skies, blistering hot temps and high humidity framed the afternoon getaway.
There is a small stream running thru town that tends to harbor steelhead, smallmouth bass and an assortment of other oddball candidates for fishing quarry when you visit. I had brought an ultra light rig set up with a wacky plastic worm on a drop shot...in hopes of enticing a bass. Saw a single 16" steelie, and a small band of roaming smallies...but nothing was interested in taking the bait. Oh well...so much for catching anything. The water is clear and shallow...so you can see everything...and they see you too!
Highlight of the day was seeing this very unusual boat...at least in my opinion! After munching down 1/4 of a Chef Charles Special pizza and a Faygo cola on our way out of town we could not help but notice this "land yacht" parked in the grass adjacent to a marina and public boat launch. I did a "double take" and said..."we've got to turn around and check this out"! It appears to be brand new, with no time having been spent on the water yet. Maybe these are common in your area, but this was a first for me! Once deployed, I assume that the small "dozer" track system could maneuver along the ground quite handily! I can't think of any really good reason to design a hull like this...but somewhere...somebody had a lot of spare time on their hands!

Wow now that really unusual design like you said 👍🏽👍🏽
If the tracks are powered as I think, I think it may be a great beach launch idea.

Definitely a Next Generation R.I.B.. Who needs a trailer or launch ramp. Power looks like a pair of Mercs, 350+ each. Very cool find Yaker. Definitely a beautiful area as well. Thanks for sharing your trip with us, and sorry the fish didn't cooperate.
Late last night my curiosity got the best of me so I Googled this Company (Iguana Boats) and sure enough they have these on the market! The web site has some snapshots, specifications and a short video that was fun to watch. Kind of a niche market for sure!
The stream that runs thru town does have a few deep holes, and I had high hopes for something coming out of them in terms of a few bass. Also tried going weightless and nobody was hungry for that approach either! My bait choice was a 5" green pumpkin dinger with purple flecks.
As an aside, I thought folks might enjoy a photo of the Chef Charles Special pizza...which is a "veggie" concoction made on a hand rolled slab of dough (nicely buttered up), a few types of cheese, pesto sauce, minced garlic, pine nuts, sesame seeds, artichoke and kalamata olives on it. I am a meat lover when it comes to dining, but for some reason this pizza really comes out well in the flavor department!
I took a look at their website myself, but at this time I just don’t have an extra $250-700K lying around for a boat. I may just have to settle for a ride on yours 😂

I did not check the pricing structure, but I had a hunch it would be sky high! You will be a welcome guest anytime on my more modest means of water transportation!
Our boat has been serving me well for the past 18 years without the need for any "land rover" accessories! It catches fish, and is fun to take out swimming or just putzing around.
This is how my wife likes to equip the boat - bear bones...so to speak! After a month of owning this rig, she kiddingly said to me " It looks like you will be able to do some fishing now"!
Updated photo after first month of ownership! Heading out for lake trout with a brother in law and friend. Caught a nice limit in no time flat.
Dipsey diver set and ready for salmon action in Lake Michigan.
Downriggers dredging the waters for more salmon. We did catch several on this evening from several years ago.
