Wanted to let You All know the Kind of Fisherman and Friends we have on the Stage. Last month or so I sent Mike a few pounds of Obsidian for his Napping arrow heads and such, a Skill I do Not have. It was a gift, I had it, didn’t cost me anything, cheep to send, and seemed to me it was something he could use. And I saw an item he made from it, and it looked Great. He offered to pay me for the materials and shipping, to which I said No, it was a gift. Well, Today, I just received this from Mike, a Personalized Cane, and he doesn’t not know how much I appreciate this. I still try to walk every day, although it is not as easy as a few years ago. This is absolutely awesome, Beautiful and a Tough Maple Sapling that will serve me well in my fishing adventures on uneven ground. Wanted to thank Mike more than just in a PM. Friends, we have Never meet, are Still Friends on this Site! Thanks Mike

That’s a beautiful walking stick. I’m wondering what vine chocked it to make that pattern. Oftentimes up here it’s bittersweet. Nice Mike.

Honeysuckle vine ,that’s the best place to find twisted sticks where you find honeysuckle vines.

Manzanita is also a Great wood to make walking sticks and such from. Tough and beautiful wood. I have made a few myself through the years. Manzanita, Mahogany, are all great choices. This Stick in Maple, is Going to Church Pretty! It is Definitely one of those “little” things in this life I will never forget!
