We catch rocks when we're mainly slow drifting down small rivers in NC/SC. Always fishing but mainly enjoying the water.
WHATEVER IT IS IT'S BEEN SMOKIN A LITTLE TOO MUCH POT. HAHAHA
Is a "Google-eye (Rock bass) that do a lot or damage to other spawning sport fish, by eating large numbers of eggs and fry spawned by largemouth, smallmouth, Perch, crappie, and others. I semi like to catch them sometimes, so I can do the fix to stop their ferociousness.
Some people call them a redeye in nc. Also called a Roanoke bass
