This is my first fishing post... Let see if I can be like Fred fish...
Up @ 2am, on the pier @ 4:05, water just starting to ebb tide... Air temp was in low 70s... We were all alone, so we setup mid-span and got at it with frozen squid as bait.
I'm going to shorten this story... Many hours later, 11am, we packed it in... We caught 2 dogfish & 3 spider crab. Other anglers, all arrived after us & left before us, had better luck with sand&blood worms.
When we left, the air temp was 88deg.
Bottom line... I still enjoyed the day...

Glad to see you're getting out Dt. I've never fished in that area. I would think there should be some Bluefish and Stripers in the area. Maybe throw a Popper or Kastmaster, while you're soaking bait. Good job on the report.
Thanks for the suggestion FF... I was using borrowed gear... Next time I'll bring my largest freshwater rig...
true that... Fred fish knows how to fill a cooler, when he chooses...
Thx BC2... I do saltwater on average of twice a year... Time to do freshwater & see if I can't for better at reporting...

dt, as long as you enjoyed the day you are Fred fish qualified. Fred is the East coast Saw1. Hard fisher to keep up with.

That's what counts. There's a gorgeous park on the other side of the bay my nephew took me to when he was stationed there on the USS Providence. Can;t remember the name but will ask it you're interested.
