I have a very good neighbor here in the hills of Oregon. He hooked em and cooked em today.
Pictures to follow. All he shared is the Filets of 16-18” Big Rainbow Trout from a gem of a lake not to far from here in Sandy Oregon.
Mt. Hood is our backyard so to speak. Timothy Lake can be productive but one must know how to target them and where to. It is loaded with Crayfish ( crawdads ) so they are the ultimate bait trolling or whatever your tactic is for the day.

Oh, those are mighty fine rainbows, Jeremy. I haven't eaten a trout in about 50 years but they look very good, and I do remember what they taste like. I grew up on them.

Those are some good looking filets; I'm drooling just looking at them!🤤🤤🤤 Nothing like fresh trout.

Jeremy, those filets look awesome. Someday I hope to catch a freshwater trout. I have eaten one once but it was so long ago I can’t remember what it tasted like. Nice to have a good neighbor 😎👍

Wow! it looks like Timothy lake is better than where I and my fishing buddy have been going. We have been passing up Timothy to go to Harriett lake and catching just one or two big ones and lots of small trout not worth keeping.
