Hit a small lake close to the house this morning. Entire lake literally choked with Lilly pads growing up 8 ft from bottom. Looked like frog heaven to me. Managed to catch a few good ones too.
Also, there were beautiful “lilies” blooming in some of the pads… and cut a few to put smiles on the wife’s face. Tight lines to all.

Great fish. Looks fun! Still looking for a great spot to through frogs near home, my son and I love it, but don’t have much success with no pads to be found!

Beautiful Frogging spot JB, and nice fish. We have a bunch of reservoirs (no fishing allowed) that we ride by on the bike. They have beautiful, unmolested, natural, lilly pad patches and every time I go by I'm thinking "There's a 10 pounder sitting right there in the shade ". Maybe someday they'll open them up for fishing. Thanks for the pictures buddy.

Oh man looks so fun. Have a lake I know of 1 1/2 hours away with lily pads been wanting to try that. Have you to go get me some frogs.

Looks like frog heaven, nice bass JB1. Haven’t fished a frog in years but that picture put a 🔥 under my a$$.

Wow that place is loaded with Lilly’s. I’m sure a frog was a good choice. It would put a smile on my wife’s face if I were to bring home fresh cut lillys
