Gettin my groove back

Went to the range the other day.
Trying to get my confidence level back, so I know for a fact, that god forbid . It ever becomes necessary to defend myself or others. I can get it done and not shoot an innocent.
The first photo is 5 8 round mags fired in rapid succession.
The second photo is 5 17 round mags triple tap . 2 to chest and one to head. Also rapid succession. Drop mag , slap in another and keep sending them.
The ones to the neck, I realized I had another mag in my bag and was running out of chest and head , so I sent em to the neck

I know I’m a little off center . The whole point of going was to make a fine sight adjustment, but I left my tool bag at home.

It is important that if you carry, ya gotta be very confident . Very confident. If you are not? Well that side arm makes you just as dangerous as the threat you are trying to terminate. Serious business.

Look as though the target is down for the count, I need to get out and fire some off also, always try to do that every couple months. The outside temps have kept me in, unbearable humidity!

try putting your target on a pendulum and start it swinging. Have your back to the target and turn and fire. two shots 1 to chest , 1 to the head. Most likely a threat is not going to be standing still. excellent confidence builder.

You would have definitely put him down! My wife and I practice at least monthly on FBI bad-guy silhouette targets
(used to practice weekly until the price of gas and ammo skyrocketed). I practice double-taps, wife just practices getting on target and shooting (sometimes a magdump if she needs to blow off some steam). As long as she keeps the shots on the torso we are happy--and know we would not want to be on the receiving end of wherever she is pointing!

Ben... is that with a pistol? Mad respect if so. I'm lights out with my shotgun and my 270 but I can't hit a soda can at 20ft with my pistols! Lol

Good advice there rip, whole different ballgame when being shot at or an actual knife wheeling bad guy zig zagging their way towards you.

Yea both 9 mils at 7 yards.
My 45 is devistating.
Back in the day , in training , if I had a group looked like that, I’d still be doing push ups!
We used to run the obstical course every day.

Yea I trained for that.
Paper never hurt anyone.
I can’t find any volunteers to rush me and the range won’t allow the turn the back thing.
They won’t even allow draw from the holster.
There are signs that say no rapid fire , but the range official hasn’t said anything to me. So I’m gonna keep doing it.

Damn Ben... I sure know a few folks that I wish would volunteer! Lol. Great shooting! If we were in the same area code I'd be begging for some training.

Keep up the ‘Dead Eye’ there Ben! With my botched eye surgery I have not been to the range or anyplace to shoot in over a year. One of these day I hope to get back to it.
