Put off a trip to the lake yesterday. Beautiful day. Plan was for son to bring grandson down today and we would go to the lake and I’d put the boys on em.
That turned out to be a bad decision because it’s raining all day here and hour and a half away it’s raining so hard , son turned around and went back home. Driving was hazardous.

Friends from back home 2 1/2 hours away are reporting biblical type rain.

Man, I’m missing so many opportunities to be on the water.

Likewise, we are experiencing a drought and temps not fit for man or livestock. AC is overworking. Just plain ugly!

My lawn looks similar, gave up on trying to keep it watered. Electric bill doubled. Decided grass could go dormant, since basically I am the only one looking at it. More important to keep water out for livestock and pets. Temps in 100’s for nearly a week and no break in forecast.

That is bad when even the concrete turns brown.

Had a guy at produce stand the other day say we may not have any sweet corn this year cause spring planting was so wet.
Miss me some sweet corn

I think it is sad that hear in California they are still building homes and asking us to not use water. But all the homes that they are building will have at least 3 to 4 people living in the homes and where will the water come from?

You would think desalination plans for construction would be in the works by now.
