Hi,
I’m interested in getting a guided trip for snakeheads and peacock bass in Florida?

Are they found in similar habitats?

Does anyone know a guide they could recommend to catch these species?

Talked to a guy yesterday morning who was just coming in with some big snakeheads. He gigged a few, cross bow some and on another trip just target them while fishing.

Night fishing with extremely bright lights shining in the water is to your advantage. The light attracts them.

You are welcome, i saw a pic on here awhile back with Gulp bait sticking out of ones mouth. I have been fishing the Patapsco River here in Maryland just waiting to hook into one myself. The way they grow, it is just a matter of time.

I used to sell them at a pet store. They grow rapidly and are voracious predators. One 1.5 foot snakehead jumped out of the tank and dried out for over 24 hours. We through him back in the tank, he sloughed off his dirty dried up skin, was a little groggy for a few hours and was good as new the next day.

The baby snakeheads at 3 inches were bright red. At about5 inches they turn a brown color for life. And start eating all their tank mates. Adults from this species were not nearly as attaractive as the babies.
