Bolinas Lagoon

Finally got my boy out to Bolinas Lagoon last week weekend. To achieve his goal of getting a Leopard Shark. 7am arrival, rising tide with anchovies surfacing all over the place.

3 other guys up the point, and my kid got the only gosh of the morning at 8am. Frozen herring did the trick for him. Only fish of the morning other than some Monkey-Faced eels he caught poke-poling in the rocks.

Stoked to get him wanting to fish EVERYDAY.

Thanks guys. Other than finding fish for us both to go after, roughest part is now getting my boy out as much as he asks!

Heading to Sonoma Co tomorrow morning to try some spots Rhyno recommend. Looking start early and make a day of going after bass.

Tight lines.

I’ve heard the “eels” and even the sharks are good eating, but we’ve been releasing everything at this point so I can’t really say. Not positive the shark was legal size or not, we didn’t bring a tape with us and I had no intention of keeping one anyway.
